St. Cecilia Elementary School fifth-graders recently participated in a living wax museum day.

Nearly 80 noteworthy figures appeared in the school auditorium. Students stood attentively and silently until a “ press me” button was stepped on and brought them to life. They perfected not only attire and props but mannerisms and dialect.

Fellow students, administration, faculty and fifth-grade parents were educated to the brief autobiographies of Neil Armstrong, Shirley Temple, Nick Foles, Oprah Winfrey, Babe Ruth, William Shakespeare, Rosa Parks, St. Therese of the Little Flower and others.

Participating students were under the guidance of teachers Maryanne Burgmann , Jacqueline Latta and Sharon Strasbugh. ••
